Medical Assistant Location: Queenstown, MD Schedule: Monday-Friday, office hours between 7:00 AM-5:00 PM Employment Type: Full-Time About the Opportunity We are seeking a reliable and patient-focused Medical Assistant to join a busy outpatient healthcare practice in Queenstown, MD. This role is ideal for someone with prior Medical Assistant experience who enjoys supporting both patients and providers in a fast-paced clinical environment. Certification is not required , but candidates must have previous hands-on Medical Assistant experience in a healthcare setting. Key Responsibilities Room patients and obtain vital signs, medical histories, and chief complaints Prepare patients for examinations and assist providers during visits Perform administrative and clinical duties to support daily office operations Schedule appointments and coordinate patient follow-up care Document patient information accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR) Handle patient phone calls, messages, and inquiries professionally Assist with prescription refills and prior authorizations as needed Maintain exam rooms, supplies, and equipment Follow HIPAA guidelines and office policies to ensure patient privacy and safety Qualifications Previous experience working as a Medical Assistant required Ability to multitask in a fast-paced medical office environment Strong communication and patient service skills Experience with EMR systems preferred Knowledge of medical terminology and clinical workflows High school diploma or equivalent required Medical Assistant certification is a plus, but not required What We're Looking For Compassionate and professional demeanor Strong attention to detail Team-oriented mindset Dependable attendance and work ethic Ability to build positive relationships with patients and providers If you're an experienced Medical Assistant looking to join a supportive healthcare team and make a meaningful impact on patient care, we'd love to hear from you! Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Queenstown, MD. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
