Job summary 30 Hours Are you passionate about supporting children and young people with their mental health and wellbeing? We have an exciting opportunity to join the newly developing Kirklees CAMHS Mild-Moderate Intervention Team as a Band 6 Mental Health Practitioner. This is a unique opportunity to help shape an innovative service focused on delivering early intervention and evidence-based therapeutic support for children and young people experiencing mild to moderate mental health difficulties. Working within a small multidisciplinary team, you will play a key role in helping young people access timely support, improve outcomes and reduce the need for more intensive interventions. This role is ideal for a qualified and registered mental health professional who enjoys direct therapeutic work, group interventions and being part of a developing service with a strong focus on innovation and continuous improvement. Main duties of the job Deliver evidence-based mental health interventions for children and young people experiencing mild to moderate difficulties. Lead and facilitate therapeutic groups and workshops, alongside delivering brief individual interventions where appropriate. Contribute to clinical assessment, formulation and intervention planning as part of a multidisciplinary team. Work collaboratively with families, schools and partner agencies to support positive outcomes. Use professional knowledge and clinical judgement to support the delivery of high-quality, safe and effective care. Support the development of innovative intervention pathways and contribute to service improvement activities. Promote psychologically informed and trauma-informed approaches across the service. Contribute to outcome monitoring, evaluation and quality improvement initiatives to ensure the service continues to meet the needs of children, young people and families. To provide routine and urgent assessment and interventions to young people with a wide range of emotional and psychological problems who are referred to specialist CAMHS, in keeping with evidence based practice with supervision from a senior clinician within professional guidelines and within the overall framework of the teams policies and procedures.
