This LDRP opportunity is ideal for experienced RNs skilled in both high-risk obstetric care and postpartum mother-baby nursing, with a strong focus on safe deliveries and comprehensive maternal-newborn care. Position Overview Specialty: Labor & Delivery Unit: LDRP / Labor & Delivery and Postpartum Mother-Baby Location: Auburn, NY Assignment Length: 13 weeks Shift: Days, 7:00 AM–7:30 PM Schedule: 3x12-hour shifts Minimum Requirements Active NY RN license Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience LDRP experience required ACLS certification BLS certification NRP certification AWHONN Intermediate certification Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM) certification Experience with high-risk antepartum care and obstetric triage Experience assisting with high-risk deliveries C-section circulating and recovery experience Vaginal delivery experience Ability to recognize and treat abnormal fetal heart rate patterns Experience with IUPC placement and calibration Experience with magnesium sulfate therapy, insulin drips, anticoagulation, and antihypertensive therapy Experience with postpartum hemorrhage and pregnancy-induced hypertension Mother-baby and newborn assessment experience Breastfeeding/lactation support and parent discharge teaching experience Ability to interpret cardiac rhythms and complete the required telemetry assessment Getting started is easy.
