Consultant Vascular Surgeon

Job summary We are looking to appoint to a whole-Time Consultant Vascular Surgeon to Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. We would welcome applications from candidates across the full spectrum of experience, from those who have recently completed training to those who have well-established careers. Any candidate who is unable for personal reasons to work full-time will be eligible to be considered for the post; if such a person is appointed, modification of the job content will be discussed on a personal basis with the Trust in consultation with consultant colleagues. Main duties of the job TheSheffield Vascular Serviceprovides the vascular services at the Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust and is based on Firth 2 wardat the Northern General Hospital site. Theserviceprovides elective and24 houremergency vascular services for Sheffield, Rotherham, Barnsley and surrounding districts with a tertiary referral population of approximately 1.25 millionalong with carotid services to North Derbyshire. The currentconsultant workingarrangement is a 14-week rolling rota staffed by 7 people with fixed commitments, with a consultant of the week model and annualised job plans.
