Specialty Doctor in OMF

Job summary The successful candidate will be part of a cohesive oral & maxillofacial team providing direct patient care. The post offers opportunity for outpatient consultant, minor operation surgery and general anaesthetic daycase surgery. Main duties of the job The OMF Specialty Doctors work closely with the wider multidisciplinary team to provide end-to-end patient pathway care including assessment, diagnosis and treatment of hospital-based specialist oral surgery care. The successful candidate will undertake direct patient in outpatient, minor operation and daycase settings in our Royal Derby Hospital and Queen's Hospital Burton sites. Working with the wider multidisciplinary team, including Oral & Maxillofacial and Orthodontic consultants to provide seamless patient care episodes and experience. No on-call requirement is expected although there may be opportunities to be on the on-call rota or engage in occasional on-call commitments if the candidate wishes. This role propviodes the opportunity to learn how to independently manage secondary care level patients within a multidisciplinary care setting.
