Job summary UNLOCK YOUR BEST WORK LIFE + MAKE A DIFFERENCE TO EVERY LIFE We have an exciting opportunity for a Pharmacy Tech to join our Pharmacy team at HMP Thameside, a category B Prison, a remand prison located in Thamesmead, London. This is a privately run prison. There is staff parking, good access by bus and train, staff canteen, on-site gym, PPG training pathway. This is a large and busy team of 18 which includes 2 Clinical Pharmacists, a dispensary team, pharmacy technicians, pharmacy assistants, and wing based Technicians. Hours 150 hrs per month Rotational shifts working 1/2 weekends in 4 weeks 7.30am- 6.30pm 4 days on 3 days off for 3 weeks 7.30am -6.30pm 3 days with 4 days off 1 weeks Salary This position is full time, youll receive an annual salary up to £45,331 How will we support you? Main duties of the job As a Pharmacy Technician, your responsibilities will vary. You will Provide outstanding quality based patient centred care to our patients seeking out, listening to and acting on their feedback so that care is personalised and informed by what matters to them. Focussing on providing a safe and secure medicines management service, ensuring patient medical records are maintained to the agreed standard at all times and ensuring standard operating procedures are followed to a high and orderly standard. Deliver non-judgemental care within the scope of professional standards. Involving anything from the timely administration of medicines through to analysing cost effective prescribing as defined through our unique health in justice medicines policy. NVQ Level 3, or above, BTEC or equivalent Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council Up to date with Continual Professional Development (CPD) Relevant post-qualification pharmacy experience General GCSE education or equivalent Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Able to work unsupervised whilst following policy and procedures Although not essential ideal applicants would have experience in a hospital, community or prison environment.
