Job summary The North London NHS Foundation Trust (NLFT) is recruiting one full-time Trust Grade Doctor to work in the In-Patient Services on acute and PICU wards in Highgate West Mental Health Centre The posts have become available on wards which are not hosting Core Psychiatry Trainees due to relocation of training posts. The posts have been filled over the past year by doctors employed on a fixed term contract. These posts are available as a full-time post offering 10 Programmed Activities per week. Main duties of the job The post holders will be required to provide clinical and professional input to their team and to take part in related service development activities alongside the consultants and managers in each team. The posts will offer the opportunity to perform clinical assessments of individuals with mental health problems including mental state examination, history taking, and attendance of meetings with the multidisciplinary team. Additional opportunities with regards to Mental Health Act Assessments, tribunal report writing and attendance as well as leading of MDT meetings/work.
