Dental Nurse

Job summary We are looking for dental nurses to join our team on a full-time or part-time basis. This key role will provide dental nurse support, assisting in the full range of dental care provided and working alongside dentists, dental therapists/hygienists and receptionists in the care of service users. Reassuring service users and explaining dental procedures. Monitoring, supporting and reassuring service users through relevant behavioural techniques. Identifying any complications and taking the necessary actions consistent with agreed local and national protocols. Recording treatment, for example, baseline charting, clinical treatments and periodontal charting from the dental operators instructions. Assisting the operator in organising the day's activities. Monitoring and updating day lists and the appointment diary as necessary. Preparing the surgery for use at the beginning of the session and clearing up at the end of the session. Arranging for timely supply of materials and laboratory work. Preparing filling and impression materials, instruments equipment, dressings and syringes as requested by the dental operator. Maintaining hand pieces, aspirators and other equipment.
