Job summary Here at the Mid Yorkshire Teaching NHS Trust an exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 7 Sonographer to become a key role within our department here in Radiology. We require someone who has excellent organisational and Interpersonal skills, who can continuously improve themselves and help others to do so within our department. The successful candidate must be able to provide evidence of either a BSc Radiography or D.C.R. (R), Registered Diploma in Medical Ultrasound, Pg Dip, Pg Certificate or equivalent (masters level). You must be able to demonstrate evidence of competency in ultrasound scanning and reporting within the NHS setting. Experience of managing complex clinical situations. Main duties of the job DCR or BSc Radiography or equivalent degree in Health Sciences CASE accredited qualificationi in Medical Ultrasound eg Pg Dip, Pg Certificate or equivalent (masters level) qualification Evidence of competency in ultrasound scanning and reporting within NHS setting Experience of managing complex clinical situations. The Ultrasound service has received BMUS accreditation for its Sonographer Preceptorship. We offer a regular staff shuttle service between all 3 sites for staff convenience and ease. We provide Ultrasound service from GP facilities in the Wakefield area.
