Pharmacy Technician

Job summary We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Pharmacy Technician to join our team at Collingwood Health Group. 30 hours per week but FT would be considered for the right candidate. The role focuses on supporting the safe and effective use of medications and improving patient outcomes. As part of our supportive multidisciplinary team, you will work closely with Pharmacy Technicians, Clinical Pharmacists, GPs and other healthcare professionals. The role is varied combining patient-facing work with document management, medicines optimisation, medication reconciliation, safety audit and prescription management. This is an excellent opportunity to work independently within appropriate clinical supervision, build strong relationships with patients and colleagues and contribute to ongoing development of our clinical pharmacy service. We are looking for someone who is organised, proactive and able to manage their own workload, with excellent communication skills and a strong attention to detail. You will be required to enrol on the CPPE, Primary Care Pharmacy Education Pathway, if you have not already completed it. Main duties of the job Key responsibilities Document processing - Safe and effective medication processing from clinical documents, reconciling medications post-discharge and ensuring accurate clinical records. Repeat prescriptions -Work alongside pharmacy administrative team to ensure the processing and authorisation of repeat prescription requests falls in line with practice protocols and clinical guidelines Medication safety - Identify and resolve medication related issues, ensure compliance with national and local prescribing Patient Education - Provide advice on medication use, side effects and adherence to treatment plans Support Prescribers - work with clinical team to improve prescribing quality and manage high-risk medications Data and Reporting - Assist with prescribing audits, data collection and reporting for quality improvement initiatives.
