Job summary Are you an experienced Speech and Language Therapist looking for a role where your expertise truly makes a difference? If so, join The Bridge Care Centre Middlesbrough as a Senior Speech and Language therapist, to manage a complex caseload of residents and deliver highquality, personcentred assessment and intervention within a multidisciplinary setting. In this part time role working 22.5 hours per week, you will take full personal, professional and legal responsibility for your own specialist caseload, working independently while seeking support and supervision when required. You will carry out detailed communication and swallowing assessments using both formal and informal tools, including perceptual analysis and indepth language assessment, to support accurate clinical decisionmaking and contribute to differential diagnosis and prognosis. Working closely with residents, families and carers, you will provide clear and compassionate explanations of complex communication, voice and swallowing difficulties, ensuring individuals feel supported and understood. Main duties of the job As a Senior Speech and Language Therapist at The Bridge Care Centre in Middlesbrough, you will manage a complex caseload, delivering high-quality, person-centered assessments and interventions in a multidisciplinary setting. You will be responsible for carrying out detailed communication and swallowing assessments, and provide clear explanations to residents, families, and carers about complex communication, voice, and swallowing difficulties. You will also contribute to care planning and decision-making, manage swallowing programs, assess the need for communication aids, and lead communication-focused therapeutic groups.
