Working as part of a highly skilled, closeknit team, you will play a key role in supporting patients before, during and after their procedureshelping to create a safe, reassuring and caring environment. Main duties of the job Supporting patients with dignity, compassion and respect throughout their perioperative pathway Assisting with preparation, transfers and safe patient handling within theatres Taking part in routine clinical tasks such as basic observations, documentation, and equipment preparation Supporting the theatre team during procedures in a circulating role Ensuring high standards of infection prevention and control Escorting patients and assisting with administrative duties as required Reporting changes in patient condition to Registered Nurses or ODPs Maintaining accurate records and contributing to safe, effective teamwork About us Horder Healthcare has been committed to caring since 1954 when we were called 'The Horder Centre for Arthritis'. To help the patients maintain their own personal hygiene, respecting their privacy and dignity at all times. This will include all aspects of the patients activities of daily living, including dietary assistance To correctly undertake observations, record results using NEWS and escalate abnormalities or concerns. To perform basic nursing practice including urinalysis, BMI Calculation, measuring for anti-embolism stockings, accurately record patient fluid input/output. To undertake capillary blood samples for POCT (point of care testing) To escort patients to other departments and theatre. To report any change in the patients conditions to the Registered Nurse and/or Therapist. To assist patients with unpacking and packing on admission and discharge.
