MRI Radiographer

Job summary We have an exciting opportunity for an MRI Radiographer in The Princess Alexandra Hospital NHS Trust to join the Specialist Imaging Team at The Princess Alexandra Hospital . You will be responsible for delivering high-quality MRI imaging services across both the acute hospital and Community Diagnostic Centre sites, ensuring safe, effective, and patient-focused care. You will support the day-to-day operation of the MRI service, contribute to clinical excellence, and provide guidance and mentorship to junior colleagues. Working across a modern imaging environment with expanding service capacity, you will play a key role in supporting the continued development and delivery of a comprehensive 7-day MRI service. Main duties of the job As an MRI Radiographer , you will be responsible for supervising and supporting newly qualified radiographers, students, and assistant practitioners, ensuring they develop the required skills and competencies to deliver safe and effective practice. You will provide guidance, share your specialist knowledge, and contribute to a supportive learning environment that encourages confidence and professional growth. You will also assist colleagues in achieving competency by providing appropriate support, feedback, and encouragement throughout their development.
