Job summary Job Title: Health VisitorWorking Pattern: Full-time posts available in East Lindsey North and South, Gainsborough, Lincoln South, Spalding Rural and Boston; 22.5 hours posts available in Sleaford and Boston (pro rata)Location: East Lindsey North and South, Gainsborough, Lincoln South, Spalding Rural, Boston and SleafordClosing Date: 27th SeptemberInterviews to be held on or around WC 5th October 2026 We are seeking to recruit motivated practitioners with initiative and drive who are keen to contribute to the further development of our integrated children's health service. The Children's Health Team work within Lincolnshire County Council very closely with Children's Services (Children's Centres, Early Help, Social Care and Family Hubs) and other agencies. Our aim is to improve outcomes and reduce health inequalities for children, young people and their families in our care. Due to our integrated ways of working, we are able to provide a comprehensive package of care to ensure that our children are able to achieve their full potential. We deliver our service in different environments such as within the home, childrens centres and schools. Full time posts in East Lindsey North and South, Gainsborough, Lincoln South, Spalding Rural and Boston. 22.5 hour posts in Sleaford and Boston. Main duties of the job 1 To deliver an efficient and cost effective Health Visiting service for an identified population within Lincolnshire County Council 2 To deliver the Healthy Child Programme 0-6 and provide clinical expert advice andguidance as appropriate for own area of expertise within the 6-19 (25 SEND) Childrens Health Service 3 To focus early interventions based on timely and comprehensive assessment of a child and their family's needs. 4 To plan, deliver and evaluate health visiting interventions for a defined populationand hold responsibility for the assessment of health care needs and the development, implementation and evaluation of programmes of care relating to individuals and families and their communities. 5 Undertake health assessments and child development reviews, identifying any deviations from the norm and taking appropriate action 6 Utilise specialist clinical skills using evidence based practice to identify any risks and needs in protecting children and adhere to agreed safeguarding policies and procedure identify children in need and children in need of protection and work in partnership with all partner agencies to support families and protect children 8 To profile the health needs of an identified population, target services to meet the needs of disadvantaged groups, deliver innovation and new ways of working in accordance with local and national targets and evaluate effective outcomes of any intervention About us Lincolnshire County Council, is one of the largest employers in the county.
