Job summary We're offering an exciting permanent Consultant Psychiatrist role within Jersey's Community Mental Health Services with the flexibility to tailor your job plan to your interests. These roles can be combined with Liaison Psychiatry or Criminal Justice Psychiatry, giving you variety, autonomy, and the chance to make a real impact across different areas of care. We also have a second post for a dual role in In-patient and Home Treatment Team. Main duties of the job The successful applicant will be expected to provide medical expertise in the field of Adult CMHT Psychiatry. The key responsibilities and expectations are: Responsibility for the investigation, diagnosis, and management of psychiatric disorders in a community setting for patients aged 18-65yr. Providing clinical leadership, support, and advice to the adult community mental health team. Contribution to the Care and Recovery framework process for individuals who are care co-ordinated. Supervising one of the staff grade doctors. Close working relationships with other parts of the mental health care group. Fulfilling the role of Responsible Officer for detained patients on long term leave in the community, working closely with the Mental Health law Office to ensure timely delivery of tribunal reports and other documentation linked to Jersey Mental Health Law.
