Reporting Radiographer

Job summary We have an exciting new opportunity for 2 professional and experienced Radiographers with a passion for reporting plain film imaging to join our friendly and dynamic reporting radiographer team at The University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay NHS FT. The post is advertised at Westmorland General Hospital but the base can be flexible and will include mainly reporting with a maximum of 1 day per week clinical radiographer duties. Main duties of the job The successful candidates will have completed Post Graduate training and qualification in Radiographic reporting, training to develop specialist clinical and technical knowledge and experience to be able to report Radiography examinations including Chest reporting. Candidates will be expected to be able to undertake own caseload, interpret findings, make detailed reports, and feed back to the referring consultants / relevant MDT. Ongoing clinical assessment and audit of reporting practice will be required to ensure competence and ongoing sensitivity and specificity accuracy The post holders will be able to demonstrate expert clinical practice and contribute to the education of radiography colleagues. About us We operatefrom three main hospitals-Furness General Hospital (FGH) in Barrow, the Royal Lancaster Infirmary (RLI), and Westmorland General Hospital (WGH) in Kendal, as well as a number of community healthcare premises including Millom Hospital and GP Practice, Queen Victoria Hospital in Morecambe, andUlverstonCommunity Health Centre. FGH and the RLI have a range of General Hospital services, with full Emergency Departments, Critical/Coronary Care units and various Consultant-led services. WGH provides a range of General Hospital services, together with an Urgent Treatment Centre, that can help with a range of non-life threatening conditions such as broken bones and minor illnesses. All three main hospitals provide a range of planned care including outpatients, diagnostics, therapies,daycase and inpatient surgery. In addition, a range of local outreach services and diagnostics are provided from community facilities across Morecambe Bay.
