Infection Preventionist Wound Care Nurse Join the Waters Edge Health and Rehabilitation Center Team in Kenosha, Wisconsin! As an Infection Preventionist Nurse, you'll play a vital role in ensuring the health and well-being of our residents while supporting our team in providing top-notch nursing care. About this Role: As an Infection Preventionist Nurse, you'll oversee daily nursing operations, providing leadership, supervision, and clinical guidance to our nursing staff. You'll work closely with our Director of Nursing to ensure regulatory compliance and positive resident and family experiences. Infection Preventionist is a Part-Time position, but can be a Full-Time position with additional hours on the floor. Responsibilities: Lead, mentor, and support nursing staff (RNs, LPNs, CNAs) Conduct clinical rounds and monitor resident care plans Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations Participate in quality improvement and performance initiatives Assist with care planning and interdisciplinary communication Conduct infection surveillance and staff training Investigate exposure incidents and implement follow-up actions Ensure compliance with all infection prevention protocols Educate residents, families, and staff on prevention and care Collaborate with providers and interdisciplinary teams Take part in on-call leadership rotation Qualifications Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Wisconsin Infection Preventionist certification or willing to obtain Strong knowledge of infection control standards and nursing best practices Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills What We Offer We believe in supporting the people who care for our residents every day.
