Job description
Job summary The Therapist will be responsible for a general caseload of children which could be in early years complex needs, mainstream school and in clinics with children with speech sound difficulties. This involves independent assessment, diagnosis and treatment for the designated caseload. This includes people from a wide range of social and ethnic backgrounds. As part of The Balanced System transformation, the Therapist will work collaboratively with schools and settings to build workforce confidence, knowledge and capability, enabling communication needs to be identified and supported through inclusive everyday practice Main duties of the job The role involves assessing, diagnosing and providing therapy for children with speech, language and communication needs. It includes working with families, schools, nurseries and other professionals to support care plans and build communication-friendly everyday practice. The post holder will manage their caseload, maintain accurate records, contribute to training, service development, audit and clinical governance.
