Locum Consultant Upper GI Surgeon

Main duties of the job As an Upper GI Surgeon, you will have a range of responsibilities, including: o Full clinical responsibility for Upper GI and general surgical patients. o Promoting the further development of Upper GI surgical services. o Supporting the development of clinical governance and using audit findings to enhance the quality of treatment and minimize clinical risk. o Collaborating with colleagues to achieve the collective goals of the department. o Developing innovative working practices and supporting the growing clinical contributions of non-medical staff. o Supervising and managing junior medical staff. o Assisting in the teaching and training of junior staff and contributing to postgraduate medical education. o Work with the Clinical Directorate management team to ensure that national targets and quality standards are met.
