Job description

Job summary 22.5 hours per week maternity cover. This is a 9 month contract with a fixed end date of August 2027. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a developing team of passionate and committed practitioners. We are looking for people who have a commitment to working with autistic people. PASS consists of a diagnostic service for Adults (PASSAT) and a post diagnostic advice and signposting service (PASS). This post sits predominantly within the post diagnostic branch. However, we work together closely, sharing opportunities and skills to learn from each other and best meet the needs of the Autistic community. This post will provide experience of the delivery of a social model of Psychology within a multi-disciplinary team. You will have the opportunity to provide support within clinics and community settings, such as wellbeing hubs, developing relationships within the voluntary and community sector. This role may not be eligible for sponsorship under the Skilled Worker route, please refer to the Direct Gov website for more information with regards to eligibility. Interviews are planned for Wednesday 21st October. Main duties of the job You will be working directly with autistic people; supporting people to find resolutions to the issues they face. The post holder will apply psychological theory to underpin the delivery of a social model of support, working collaboratively with other agencies, VCSO's and teams within Livewell Southwest. You will undertake needs based assessments that will support the development of formulation and contribute to broader clinical planning. You provide 1:1 and group support within clinics, community settings and wellbeing hubs. There may be the opportunity to co-facilitate psycho-educational workshops, with your colleagues or participation partners. You may undertake audit and evaluation, providing data that helps the team identifying key areas for service improvement. You will work closely with the teams Senior Autism Practitioner who has a social work background.
