Job summary We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Physiotherapist to join our Inpatient Physiotherapy Service. This is an excellent opportunity for an HCPC-registered Physiotherapist to work within a multidisciplinary team, delivering high-quality, evidence-based care to patients across a range of clinical specialties, including orthopaedics, surgery, medicine, neurology, trauma and intensive care. In this role, you will assess, diagnose and develop individualised treatment programmes, supporting patients throughout their rehabilitation journey and helping them achieve the best possible outcomes. You will manage your own caseload, contribute to service development initiatives, and work collaboratively with consultants, nursing teams and other healthcare professionals to ensure exceptional patient-centred care. The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent communication and clinical reasoning skills, a commitment to continuous professional development, and a passion for delivering safe, effective and compassionate care. You will undertake a comprehensive assessment of patients including those with diverse or complex presentations/ multi pathologies. You will use advanced clinical reasoning skills and manual assessment techniques to provide an accurate diagnosis of their condition with intermittent support. You will formulate and deliver an individual physiotherapy treatment programme based on sound knowledge of treatment skills, e.g. manual physiotherapy techniques, patient education, and other alternative options. You will formulate accurate prognoses and, using a collaborative approach, recommend best course of intervention; developing comprehensive patient centred objectives and plans. You will assess patient understanding of treatment proposals, gain valid informed consent and have the capacity to work within a legal framework with patients who lack capacity to consent to treatment. You will complete timely and legible notes that are compliant to the Minimum data set established by the CSP.
