Acting as an advocate for your patients, you will need authentic communication and listening skills, and the ability to build trust, considering all factors in their response to prognosis and treatment plans. This can require considerable resilience and insight and you will liaise with multidisciplinary colleagues which will require good coordination and organisation skills. Previous experience in theatres is essential.
