Job summary Lead Nurse / Advanced Practitioner Build the nursing and clinical teams that will change how primary care is delivered in your Brighton community. Over the last two years, we've been on a significant transformation journey across our Brighton practices. We've made substantial changes to how we work, strengthened our clinical and operational approach and are now bringing our Sussex practices much closer together, enabling teams to share expertise, resources and support. We're now taking the next step. Allied Medical Practice and Ship Street Surgery are coming together as one group, with plans to move into purpose-built practices next year. This will give us the capacity and infrastructure to significantly grow our patient population and build a modern primary care service for the future. Main duties of the job As a Lead Nurse / Advanced Practitioner, you'll combine advanced clinical practice with visible, hands-on leadership. Your responsibilities will include developing the nursing and healthcare assistant workforce, establishing high clinical standards, and fostering a supportive culture for learning, improvement, and exemplary patient care. You will collaborate closely with Practice Managers, Clinical Leads, and the multidisciplinary team to realize our ambitions. The role demands a mindset focused on transformation, with the opportunity to shape the clinical team and service significantly. You'll set clinical standards, drive quality and governance, lead change, develop people, improve services, and foster an integrated team across Brighton and the wider IC24 primary care network.
