Qualified Dental Nurse

Job summary Great Cornard Dental Practice is looking for two dental nurses to join their busy practice, on a full-time basis, working 08:30 - 17:30, Monday to Friday, with a 1 hour lunchbreak each day. We are looking for someone to start as soon as possible. The primary responsibility of the role will be to provide clinical support for a wide range of NHS treatments across a broad client base, working alongside the practice principal. Main duties of the job Assisting in the full range of dental care provided to patients, from supporting with routine examinations to advanced specialist treatments. Welcoming patients and reassuring them of the treatments. Providing chair support whilst patients receive treatments, responding quickly to requests. Assisting with all aspects of patient dental care and treatment including check-ups to fillings, x-rays to decontamination. Preparing and mixing dental materials. Maintaining and updating patient records. Stock control. Reassuring patients, responding to individual patient needs. Undertaking reception duties e.g. greeting service users, answering the telephone, making appointments, explaining service user charges and collecting service user charges. Liaising with the practice principal to maintain the effective running of the dental practice.
