Academic Hospitalist St. Joseph Medical Group & Kansas City Physician Care Kansas City, Missouri Overview Join the Academic Internal Medicine Section at St. Joseph Medical Center and play a key role in our ACGME-accredited Internal Medicine Residency Program. This position offers the opportunity to combine clinical practice with resident and medical student education in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Responsibilities Position Highlights Work directly with residents and medical students in inpatient and outpatient settings Teach lectures, conferences, and core residency curriculum Participate in resident mentoring, evaluation, and program development Provide care across inpatient, outpatient, and skilled nursing environments Be an integral part of an established Internal Medicine Residency Program Schedule & Call 7-on / 7-off inpatient schedule 12-hour shifts Shared call equally among providers Approximately 1 in 4 weekends for inpatient rounding with house staff Why Join Us? Qualifications Required Qualifications Board Certified in Internal Medicine Minimum three years of post-residency hospitalist experience Demonstrated experience teaching and mentoring medical students and residents MD or DO with unrestricted Missouri medical license (or eligible) Current DEA registration BLS or ACLS certification This position is not open to new graduates.
