No previous experience in eye care is required -- just a positive attitude and a willingness to learn. Part-time may be considered for the right candidate. You'll be part of a highly skilled, welcoming team that includes Ophthalmologists, Associate Specialists, Optometrists, Optometry Technicians and Orthoptists -- all passionate about delivering exceptional patient care and helping each other grow. Main duties of the job As an Optometry Technician , you'll play a key role in supporting our clinical teams across the RUH Eye Clinic and Frome Medical Practice. Day-to-day, you'll learn to carry out a variety of important eye-health tests and assessments, such as: Measuring visual acuity Completing visual field tests Capturing retinal and anterior chamber images Performing OCT (optical coherence tomography) scans Supporting biometry measurements You'll also help with essential administrative tasks, working closely with our Senior Optometry Technicians to keep our clinics running smoothly.
