Full training and support will be provided for the right candidate. We are looking for a team player who can offer flexibility in their working hours and assist with covering shifts when needed to ensure continuity of patient care. To ensure we can maintain service provision during unexpected staff absence, we are recruiting trained staff to join our relief pool.Applicants must be able to work flexibly and be available for short-notice shifts when required. Because cover may be needed with only a few hours' notice, candidates should be located within a practical commuting distance of the practice and able to attend promptly when contacted. Main duties of the job Working under the supervision of the Nurse Team and strictly in accordance with practice guidelines and protocols, the health care assistant will assist the practice clinical team in the provision and delivery of prescribed programmes of patient care and patient specific directions. Mornings are phlebotomy & anticoagulation testing clinics Afternoon clinics ECG, wound care, health checks, basic dressings, immunisations testing in timed appointments Training will be provided will be provided for the right candidate. Relief HCA Pool We are looking for suitably trained and experienced individuals to join our relief HCA pool. Opportunities will include both pre-booked shifts to cover planned absences and annual leave, as well as occasional short-notice shifts to provide cover for unexpected staff absences. Applicants should be able to work flexibly and be available to attend the practice at short notice when required. Due to the nature of the role, this opportunity is best suited to candidates who can reliably travel to the practice with limited notice. We will also consider applicants who have relevant healthcare experience and are willing to undertake venepuncture training to develop the competencies required for the role.
