Main duties of the job We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Band 7 Specialist Dietitian to join our friendly and supportive Gastroenterology Dietetic Team at Wythenshawe Hospital, part of Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your specialist clinical and leadership skills within a well-established gastroenterology service. Working alongside an experienced team of specialist dietitians, you will provide clinical leadership,supervisionand support to colleagues, whilebenefitingfrom regular mentorship and professional development from the Clinical Lead Dietitian. You will play a key role in delivering high-quality, evidence-based nutritional care across inpatient and outpatient services. The post holder will manage a varied caseload of gastroenterology medical and surgical inpatients, providing expert nutritional assessment and management, including oral, enteral and parenteral nutrition support. The role also requires cover of specialist outpatient clinics, supporting patients with a wide range of gastrointestinal conditions, including coeliac disease, inflammatory bowel disease, liverdiseaseand functional bowel disorders. As an integral member of the multidisciplinary team, you will work closely with consultants, specialist nurses, pharmacists, speech and language therapists and other allied health professionals to deliver patient-centredcare andoptimiseclinical outcomes.
