Junior Locally Employed Doctor

Job summary The post holder will provide a clinical service for vascular patients working closely with the consultants, registrars, FY1, physician associates and nursing staff within the department. Main duties of the job The post holder will participate in ward rounds, support junior members of the team and assist the on-call registrar in seeing emergency referrals. They will assist and operate on patients in elective and emergency settings, alongside the consultant. They will be involved in the assessment, investigation and treatment of vascular patients in the outpatient department, usually working alongside the consultant. SHO-level doctors are rotated into theatre, ward, on-call and clinic sessions to ensure equitable access.
