Main Responsibilities: Assessment and differential diagnosis of a childs communication difficulties through the use of standardised assessments, reflection of auditory, visual and kinaesthetic aspects of a childs communication, informal observation, specialist knowledge and consultation with parents and school staff. Main duties of the job The opportunity is for a Band 6 Speech and Language Therapist position within HCRG Care Group, focusing on supporting school-aged children with communication difficulties, particularly eating, drinking, and swallowing issues. The role is part-time, involving 22.5 hours per week, based at Saltway Centre in Swindon. The therapist will conduct assessments and provide differential diagnosis of communication difficulties in various settings across BSW B&NES, Swindon, and Wiltshire. Key responsibilities include developing care plans, producing comprehensive reports for various stakeholders, and implementing evidence-based therapeutic interventions. The role requires a recognised degree in Speech and Language Therapy, a licence to practice, and knowledge of therapeutic interventions.
