Part-time Ophthalmologist and Cataract Surgeon

Due to the growth of our services we are looking for employed Ophthalmologists to join us across the UK in our CHEC Hospitals and Community Centres. Main duties of the job What will I be doing as an Ophthalmologist? The post holder will be required to perform a range of ophthalmology appointments on patients referred to CHEC and provide supervision of the provision of adult community ophthalmology services delivered by healthcare professionals, working in accordance with CHEC treatment protocols and working practices. Day to day, the post holder will deliver high quality clinical care to patients attending the community ophthalmology service in the following areas: General Ophthalmology Glaucoma services AMD Laser treatment Minor eye Operations High volume phacoemulsification under topical anaesthesia if applicable About us CHEC are an NHS provider organisation founded in 2012. Applicants will be expected to have an excellent clinical quality record and be able to demonstrate the ability to perform efficiently independently in clinics/theatre. Applicants will also need to demonstrate commitment to excellent teamwork. The post holder will have the opportunity to review their job plan with the Clinical Director at least annually.
