Mental Health Practitioner

Come and join a passionate and friendly team providing mental health services to children with or presenting with possible neuro diversity across the city of Plymouth. The team supports the wider CAMHS service offering specialist assessment, intervention and support to children and young people that may have, a learning disability, ADHD, autism, Tics or Tourette's and are struggling with mental health difficulties. Main duties of the job The post holder is responsible for supporting the emotional, psychological and social wellbeing of children and young people who have or are suspected of having a Neuro developmental Disorder ( ADHD, Learning disability, Autism, Tics or Tourettes).The post holder will provide a holistic assessment for children and young people, which will involve close liaison with the multi-agency network; including schools and social care. The post holder will join a Multi-disciplinary Team and will work closely with other teams within the CAMHS service. They will hold a case load of complex need relating to the young persons neurodiversity or ongoing neurodiverse assessment and has co-morbidity of mental health needs. They will assess and risk manage cases and provided clinical lead to non-registered staff for delegated tasks. The post holder will provide specialist clinical practice into the team for children and young people with neuro-developmental disorders, delivering intervention within best evidence and to the highest possible standard. The post holder will work across other teams within CAMHS. This role may not be eligible for sponsorship under the Skilled Worker route.
