Main duties of the job What you'll be responsible for : Monitoring patients' conditions by taking temperatures, pulse, respirations, and weight. Assisting in the delivery of patient care as directed by the Registered Nurse Ensuring that the patient is the prime focus when making decisions about their care and wellbeing. Assisting patients with compassion when undertaking normal activities of daily living whilst ensuring that privacy, dignity, and human rights are respected. Main hospitals are Exeter and Torquay. Pay Rate : £13.13 - £22.19 per hour Shift Patterns: 7:30am to 3:30pm, 7:30am to 12:30pm, 9am to 5pm, 12:30pm to 8:30pm, 3:30pm to 8:30pm, 8pm to 8am About the Trust- Welcome to Devon Partnership NHS Trust - Mental health, learning disability and neurodiversity services. What you'll need: A minimum of 6 months experience as a Mental Health Care Assistant in an hospital environment or a mental health care home (Qualifications required to accompany individuals with 6-12 months experience, which is a practical sign off) or Studying as a Student Nurse with at least 12 weeks clinical placements, studying towards a Mental Health Nursing degree *Depending on the Trust, you may require variable additional certification and skills.
