Job summary We're seeking a passionate and skilled Band 5 Occupational Therapist to join our supportive and holistic Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT) within the Kent and Medway Early Intervention in Psychosis (EIP) Service. This is an exciting opportunity to apply specialist knowledge in a dynamic, highly valued setting. The Kent and Medway EIP services are dedicated to making a profound difference in the lives of individuals aged 14 to 65 experiencing their First Episode of Psychosis (FEP). Our services are built around comprehensive, stand-alone MDTs, ensuring we provide a distinct and high-quality care pathway from assessment through to treatment and recovery. As an Occupational Therapist, you'll be part of a pioneering service that focuses on rapid, evidence-based support during a critical time in a person's life, helping them build lasting stability, function, and community inclusion. As a valued member of our MDT, you will utilise your specialist skills to empower service users through purposeful activity and recovery-focused goals. Main duties of the job The post holder must hold a full, valid, UK driving licence and have access to a car/vehicle to use for business purposes (unless you have a disability as defined by the Equality Act 2010). Provide high-quality and evidence-based occupational therapy assessments and interventions, both group and individual, to people who access services and their carers/supporters/family members, in line with the occupational therapy pathways. Communicate effectively with people who access services, carers, the multi-disciplinary team and when appropriate, outside agencies. Contribute to the generic functioning of the team. Provide supervision and mentoring to more junior occupational therapists, occupational therapy apprenticeships, and support workers About us We are Kent and Medway Mental Health NHS Trust.
