We are delighted to be able to offer a Band 6 Mental Health practitioner post to a dynamic and caring professional with a passion for working with children and families. This is a 30 hours per week, permanent post based in the Havant & Petersfield CAMHS team. We are a warm and compassionate multi-disciplinary team who are united in the commitment to provide the highest quality care to the children, young people and families using our service. HIOW CAMHS is currently undergoing an exciting transformation so that we are better able to meet the mental health needs of our communities going forward, and you will be an active part of this process. We follow a Stepped Care Model which includes Single Point of Access, Early Help, and Community Teams alongside the full range of specialist CAMHS services. We have well developed assessment and treatment pathways to ensure an evidence based and consistent service across CAMHS. You will have scope to develop your own areas of interest either in relation to specific presentations or therapy models. Main duties of the job The post holder will work in partnership with service users in the designated care group with complex mental health presentations, developing their care plans and recovery plans to enable them to lead fulfilling lives. They will provide clinical interventions relevant to the care group to include education, care plans and discharge planning, working closely with carers, families, and partner agencies to facilitate this. They will have a robust knowledge of evidence based therapeutic interventions relevant to the care group including education, clinical care, wellness recovery action plans and discharge planning. The post holder will work at all times to promote the safety and the wellbeing of service users and their families/carers. The post holder will assess, plan, and implement care, and provide specialist advice and interventions. They will provide clinical supervision to staff and students and act as a mentor for students. Across Hampshire, our community hospitals provide inpatient rehabilitation as a step down from acute care, and our dedicated teams also staff Treetops Sexual Assault Referral Centre in Portsmouth, offering expert, compassionate support.
