Job summary Are you an experienced Phlebotomist who enjoys working independently and providing compassionate care to patients? Were looking for a Band 2 Community Phlebotomist to join our Community Nursing team, based at Sheppey Community Hospital. Youll spend much of your working day out in the community, visiting patients within their own homes to obtain blood samples following referrals from Community Nursing teams and GPs. For some patients, accessing traditional healthcare settings can be challenging, so the care you provide within their home can make a real difference. Youll need to combine excellent phlebotomy skills with a calm, compassionate and professional approach, making patients feel comfortable and reassured throughout their appointment. You'll organize your workload, travel between patients and carry out venipuncture independently, while knowing when something needs to be escalated to a senior colleague or GP.
