Job summary We are seeking a Locum Consultant Rhinologist to join our dynamic ENT department for a 12-month fixed-term post. This is an exciting opportunity to oversee and develop the Rhinology service while contributing to a broader general ENT workload. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering high-quality, patient-centred care, supporting elective recovery, and shaping innovative service pathways across North Cumbria. This role offers the chance to: Oversee a subspecialty service within a collaborative department Influence service transformation and pathway redesign Work across integrated hospital and community settings Contribute to education, training, and clinical leadership Main duties of the job Deliver a comprehensive ENT service, including Rhinology and general ENT care. Undertake outpatient clinics, elective and emergency surgery, and patient management. Participate in the Consultant on-call rota (1 in 6). Provide clinical advice and support to junior staff, GPs, and multidisciplinary teams. Lead and contribute to clinical governance, audit, and quality improvement. Support teaching, supervision, and training of junior doctors and students.
