Job summary UNLOCK YOUR BEST WORK LIFE + MAKE A DIFFERENCE TO EVERY LIFE We have an exciting opportunity for a part time Dietitian to join our Primary Care team at HMP Eastwood Park, l ocated in Gloucestershire HMP Eastwood Park is a women's prison focused on rehabilitation, wellbeing, and helping individuals build positive futures. Health care is situated in the prison and provides a 24 hour healthcare and has a capacity of around 400 females. As part of this Dietitian role, you will have a varied and rewarding workload, including managing a clinical caseload, delivering training and upskilling staff, facilitating group sessions for patients. This is an excellent opportunity to shape the role and make it your own. Main duties of the job As a Dietitian your responsibilities will vary. You will Advise on therapeutic diets and specialist nutritional requirements, ensuring these are Deliver a comprehensive dietetic service to patients within the prison, managing a varied and complex caseload. Undertake specialist nutritional assessments and develop evidence-based treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs. Provide expert dietary advice and interventions for patients with a range of clinical conditions, including diabetes, cardiovascular disease, gastrointestinal disorders, malnutrition, obesity, and food allergies or intolerances. Monitor, review, and evaluate patient progress, adjusting care plans as required. Work collaboratively with healthcare professionals, prison staff, catering services, and external agencies to ensure effective nutritional care and support. Provide nutritional education and health promotion activities to individuals and groups, supporting behaviour change and self-management. Dietician Degree Qualification or equivalent - HCPC Experience of working as a dietician in a large multi- disciplinary team, Health Professions Council Licence to Practice. Evidence of Continued Professional Development Understanding of the complexities of multi-disciplinary and multi-agency working Knowledge of healthcare policies and best practice Although not essential ideal applicants would have experience in a hospital, community or prison environment.
